Nautical WirelessTM receives highly sought-after certification from Wi-Fi Alliance Wi-Fi ZONETM Deployment and Service Standards

Boston, MA, November 6, 2003 – Nautical Wireless (www.nauticalwireless.com) today announced that the Wi-Fi Alliance has certified Nautical Wireless as a Wi-Fi Zone program member. “It is definitely an honor to be certified by this quality organization as Nautical Wireless maintains a solid commitment to support leading industry standards, while delivering ultra responsive and exceptional customer service for its Any-Port Access solution,” said Stephan Reckie, founder of Nautical Wireless.
The goal of the Wi-Fi Zone program is to help travelers find and stay connected when they travel – whether they are down the street at the local café or on vacation at a resort marina on the other side of the world. The Wi-Fi ZONE program has two primary elements – an online database of Wi-Fi ZONE locations (www.wi-fizone.org) and a common visual indicator – the Wi-Fi ZONE logo, which is displayed at locations and Web sites. Only service providers that meet the Wi-Fi ZONE deployment and service standards are allowed to be a Wi-Fi ZONE.

The Wi-Fi Alliance (formerly WECA) is a nonprofit organization formed in 1999 to certify interoperability of IEEE 802.11 products and to promote them as the global, wireless LAN standard across all market segments.
